It is a four-year academic program that aims in preparing middle level medical laboratory technologist who are equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude competencies required for them to function as efficient care provider, teacher and middle level manager in the hospitals as well as in the different health care settings.
GOALS OF THE PROGRAM
The goals of the program are to produce
professional graduates in laboratory medicine who are academically sound, technically skilled and self-reliant in performing quality control and interpreting the results
graduates of good quality, well-rounded, skillful and competitive both locally and globally
graduates who are ethical, professional and have leadership potentials in the clinical laboratory profession
Candidate should have completed 10+2 or intermediate of science or equivalent course with English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry as major subjects securing at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate from a recognized college.
Candidate (both Nepalese and foreign nationals) must have passed the entrance exam set by Institute of Medicine (IOM) of the same year candidate is seeking admission in.
Candidate should not go through any other entrance examination set by CMC itself.
CANDIDATE SELECTION PROCESS
Eligible candidates should appear for the entrance exam conducted by IOM, Exam section and the merit list will be published based on the marks secured in the entrance examination. The candidate selection and admission will then be done following the guidelines set by IOM.

International students should have an eligibility certificate from the concerned authority of their country, a valid student visa (if visa is required to stay in Nepal) and eligibility certificate issued by IOM or Ministry of Education of Nepal.
