Radiation Oncology is a medical super specialty that is an essential part of a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment. It uses high-energy x-rays delivered through the linear accelerator. The Radiation Oncology department trains medical students, physicists, radiation technologists, and the public regarding cancer prevention and treatment.
